Council or the Road Authority asked you to submit a report involving a
performance based assessment of car parking, access and/or traffic impact
issues to be prepared by a suitably qualified traffic engineer? Are you looking for experienced transport
planners / traffic engineers with relevant planning related exposure and
in-depth knowledge of statutory requirements?
Are you seeking a quotation for consultancy services on traffic
engineering matters? Has Council asked
for parking surveys or traffic surveys to be carried out for your planning
application or development application?
Are you seeking a traffic engineering expert? ML
Traffic Engineers prepares traffic engineering and parking impact assessment
reports to support planning applications and development applications. We are experienced with every conceivable land-use
that may trigger the need for a traffic impact assessment -– apartments,
bars, car washes, cafes / restaurants, child care centres, catteries / dog
kennels, community centres, fitness centres / gymnasiums, galleries,
drive-through premises (fast food, coffee, alcohol sales), hotels
(accommodation) / motels, industrial units, industrial subdivision, licensed
premises (gaming hall, tavern), medical centres, mine-site traffic
management, mixed-use sites (residential and commercial), night clubs,
offices, places of worship, recreational facilities, residential
subdivisions, residential master plans, school master plans, shops, shopping
centre developments, supermarkets, tuition centres and warehouses. We prepare swept path diagrams using
AutoTURN. A requirement of planning
approval may include the ability of the design vehicle to enter the site, internally
manoeuvre and exit the site in a forward direction. We have turning templates for cars (B85 and
B99 dimensioned), rigid trucks (small, medium and heavy) and
articulated vehicles (semi-trailers and B-doubles). We assess and provide
design input into access, parking, on-site vehicle manoeuvrability and site
servicing layouts to the requirements of AS 2890.1 and AS 2890.2. We illustrate the required changes in CAD -
to reduce time required by the architect or building designer to incorporate
in their plans. We provide support to architects, lawyers, town
planners, surveyors, builders, business operators / owners and individuals on
traffic engineering matters. We assist Councils and Road Authorities with
peer reviews of other parties’ traffic engineering related submissions. We
consider subtle variations that may exist between different state road and
local government authorities. Every traffic engineering assessment considers
relevant local planning context. We
understand the conflicting requirement between access and internal vehicle
manoeuvrability (council) and traffic flow (the road authority). Hands-on approach is applied to every one of our
traffic engineering projects. ML
Traffic Engineers’ key traffic engineering practitioners (Mike on 0413 295
325 and Benny on 0418 256 674) have between 25 and 32 years’ experience each. We are able to provide constructive input
on traffic engineering matters from feasibility stages, right through to
planning application submissions and, where required, provide expert witness representation
at planning court / tribunal hearings.
Senior traffic engineering staff are involved in every project. For
