ML Traffic Engineers is experienced with every conceivable land-use that may trigger the need for a traffic impact statement or a traffic impact assessment – apartments, bars, car washes, cafes / restaurants, child care centres, catteries / dog kennels, churches, community centres, fitness centres / gymnasiums, galleries, drive-through premises (fast food, coffee, alcohol sales), hotels (accommodation) / motels, industrial units, industrial subdivision, licensed premises (gaming halls, taverns, hotels), medical centres, mixed-use sites (residential and commercial), mosques, night clubs, offices, places of worship, recreational facilities, residential subdivisions, residential master plans, school master plans, shops, shopping centre developments, supermarkets, temples, transport terminals, tuition centres, townhouses and warehouses.

ML Traffic Engineers prepares swept path diagrams using AutoTURN. A requirement of planning approval may include the ability of the design vehicle to enter the site,
internally manoeuvre and exit the site in a forward direction. We have turning templates for cars (B85 and B99 dimensioned), rigid trucks (small, medium, heavy) and articulated vehicles (semi-trailers, B-doubles and road trains). We have access to an international vehicle dataset – to enable assessment of vehicles that closely match what clients want to test.

ML Traffic Engineers Is Experienced With Every Conceivable Land (1)

We assess and provide design input into access, parking, on-site vehicle manoeuvrability and site servicing layouts to the requirements of AS 2890.1 and AS 2890.2. We illustrate the required changes in CAD – to reduce time required by the architect or building designer to incorporate in their plans. In NSW / Sydney only, we prepare traffic guidance scheme (TGS) formerly traffic control plan (TCP) and traffic management plan (TMP) for construction related traffic and/or pedestrian diversion, and or partial / full road closure. We provide vehicle access advice and design solution (turn lane treatment as per warrants contained in Austroads Guide to Road Design Part 4A).
Hands-on approach is applied to every one of our traffic engineering projects. ML Traffic Engineers’ key traffic engineering practitioners (Mike on 0413 295 325 and Benny on 0418 256 674) have between 30 and 40 years’ experience each. We are able to provide constructive input on traffic engineering matters from feasibility stages, right through to planning application submissions and, where required, provide expert witness representation at planning court / tribunal hearings. Mike has represented clients at VCAT on many occasions. Benny has extensive experience preparing traffic control plans (TCP). Senior traffic engineering staff is involved in every project.
